IMAGES
Most of the images on this page are incorporated in different parts of my web site. I'm going to put them into two broad categories.
- background graphics.
- illustrations.
You'll notice that most of the background graphics I have are soft focus. If you are going to use background graphics it pays not to have too much contrast in the graphic itself, as it make the content of the page difficult to read. As with everything else the background graphic should contribute to the page as a whole, and not present an unwelcome distraction.
Illustrations by contrast need to be punchy, relevant to the page and interesting. Try not to make them too big, unless the object of your page is to sell artwork. Again, if the illustration is not of direct relevance to the page you should ask yourself why you are including it.
